POLICIES
Petaholics' goal is to offer the best possible care for your dog or cat. With millions of cats and dogs living in New York City, we have to be selective about the long-term relationships we form with customers. In order for us to provide a high level of satisfaction 100% of the time, we choose our clients as much as they do us. Scheduling
Our goal is to give your pet all the time and attention he or she deserves, according to a schedule that's convenient for you. Therefore, we never overbook. Once you've contracted our services, we turn business away to accommodate you.
Petaholics schedules visits on a first-come-first-served basis, so book early to ensure availability. We finalize sitters' appointments each weekend for the following week. If your schedule changes, call us at 646-723-1282 as soon as you can, and we'll do our best to meet your request.
All weekend visits, as well as weekday visits occurring before 9am and after 5pm, will be assessed an additional $6/visit fee. A $10/visit fee applies to appointments.
Cancellations and Refunds
To cancel an appointment, contact a manager-not your dog walker or pet sitter-by email or call 646-723-1282. (Please be sure to speak to a Petaholics representative instead of just leaving a voicemail message.) Cancellations made 24 hours in advance of a scheduled visit will be credited. Standard service rates apply to cancellations made without 24 hours notice, including those times when a walker arrives to find that you don't need a visit or that your pet isn't present.
Cancellation fees are strictly imposed during the holiday season. We require a full 7 days notice of cancellation prior to your first holiday appointment. If we do not receive notice of cancellation within this time frame, you will be charged for your entire schedule of visits.
Petaholics reserves the right to assess additional fees for repeated cancellations.
Last-Minute Fees
The following rush booking fees apply to service requests made with 24-48 hours notice:
Visit with key on file or in doorman-building - $20
Visit with no key on file - $20
Same day requests - add $10 more
Medication-
If we need to give medication directly to the animal additional fees would apply, there is no fee if medication can be put in pets food.
Pills,ointments,creams- $7/visit
Shots-$10/visit
Payment Policies
We bill every Wednesday for visits scheduled to occur that week (from Monday through Sunday). We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. You must give us at least 24 hours notice in order to be credited for a cancelled visit, excpet during thanksgiving and christmas weeks in which it is 7 days cancellation.
Holiday Visits
Holiday visits are subject to a $10/visit fee. This charge also applies to any regularly scheduled weekday walks that fall on a holiday.
We encourage you to reserve early for holiday appointments, especially Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. We begin planning holiday schedules about one month in advance. Although we can accept requests before this time, we cannot confirm your visits until the schedule has been set.
All visits are billed in advance on wednesdays of the week of your first visit.

REFERRALS
In some instances, we may not be able to provide service to your pet. Please ask for a referral if you:
" Live outside the neighborhoods we serve
" Have a schedule that frequently changes at the last minute, giving us less than five hours notice to plan our visits
" Cannot provide keys for all door or locks that grant access to your home
" Seek pack walking, boarding, doggy day care, or a puppy play group
" Have an adult dog that has not been spayed or neutered
" Have an adult dog that is not well socialized, will not allow us to enter your home, or has harmed another dog or person
" Have a limited budget that's better spent on maintaining your pet's health
" Have taken your pet for a check-up since the Mets won the World Series
