Woody, Phoebe, and I are moving to the West Village at the end of March. My boyfriend has a cat sitter in that area, so we won't be needing your services. :-( Natasha has taken great care of my cats. We just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how much we like Virginia. There were a few days where the situation in our apartment was not the best for our dog and Virginia called us right away to alert us that our dog was unhappy. We were able to come home and take care of the issues and make sure our puppy had a healthy and happy day.
Also, our puppy Sophie really loves Virginia, when she sees her she gets super-excited!

I found Petaholics over the holidays when my friend who was going to bird sit for me bailed just a few days before I was leaving.
They are expensive but what do you expect, its new york and when you're pets are your children, price is often the least of your concerns.
I was very nervous about leaving my bird to a stranger for two weeks but when I came home I was surprised to find a very happy and chatty bird. She had been well fed and cared for.
When the day comes (noticed I didn't say if, but when) that I get a dog, I will strongly consider their dog walking services as well.

We are moving to Chicago in mid-February, and this will probably be our last trip before then. I really appreciate all you guys have done for us, and I don't know how I'm going to find another fabulous and reliable pet sitter . The cats will definitely miss you guys ! I will try to take some pictures of the cats before next week, so you have those, and feel free to stop by anytime before we leave if you want to see the cats again.

The best thing about Petaholics is the peace of mind you get knowing that your pet will never go without care. When our dog walker got sick unexpectedly, Jordan personally met me at the office to grab a set of keys so that he could take care of Teddy. We can go to work confident that Teddy will get the attention a 7 month old puppy needs during the day.
And when he hasn't been feeling well, Katie has taken the time to clean him up and let us know immediately so that we can could the vet. She even offered to take him to get checked out if needed. Katie has been conscientious in her care for Teddy and I know that Teddy responds well to her daily visits.
It's great to come home at the end of the day and read the notes about Teddy's afternoon walk and know that he had a great time. Without Petaholics we would have found it difficult to welcome this new little guy into our lives!

I am one of those paranoid people who does not like people I don't know in my apartment; however, I do have a cat and it got to the point where I just couldn't keep bothering my friends to feed her when I was away. Besides, I also wanted someone to spend some time with her if I happened to be away for an extended period of time. Virginia, my cat sitter from Petaholics, was the best thing that could have happened to me and my cat (Emma). I remember the first time Virginia stayed with Emma, and I came back from vacation, Emma was so relaxed and happy (usually she would be agitated when I returned). Virginia totally exceeded my expectations, and I think she takes better care of Emma than I do... although that's kind of embarrassing to say. Not only was she reliable and a true cat-lover, but she also gave me some tips on how to make Emma a bit less skittish... I call Virginia "the cat whisperer." All I can say, is that it is much better to have a real animal person tend to your pet than a friend. I believe that the people at Petaholics pick their employees with great care, and I highly recommend their services. |

I would like everyone to know that Jordan Kaplan and Petaholics is the best thing that ever happened to us and our dog. We went through the 7 week training program with Jordan and it was just amazing. Every week, we could see Bigshow just learning everything that Jordan had to teach. We'll never forget the class on the "down" command. Seeing Bigshow slowly move his head down until he was fully laying on the floor was incredible. The techniques that Jordan uses are so simple and easy, which made our pup get them every time. There was not a single class that Bigshow couldn't learn the command within the hour. Aside from the actual classes, Jordan was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions and giving us plenty of helpful tips. We would HIGHLY recommend the Petaholics training classes for any puppy!

"My eleven year old special needs cat, Winston, and I moved to New York
about two years ago. I travel alot and not really knowing anyone in New
York to look after Winston I needed to find a pet sitting service that
would make sure Winston got the twice daily care he needed. After all,
Winston is family in every way.
After interviewing several different sitting services I found Petaholics
and have used them ever since. They are wonderful. From the moment you send an e-mail requesting service Christine responds promptly to set up
times and dates. Our favorite sitter, Josko, is professional and
compassionate in taking care of Winston (basically he's just awesome with
animals). If anything has changed with Winston's care Josko will come
over before I leave to go over new medicine, food, etc. to make sure he
knows exactly what Winston needs. I leave town not worrying about my
"baby". Josko even goes the extra step of giving me his cell phone number
to let me check on Winston while I'm gone."

"Of the three dog walking services I've used over the past three years, Jordan's Petaholics is by far the best. He is also on the expensive side, and charges tax where many others do not. I feel the premium is money well spent because my Pug Dexter receives good care and loves Jordan.
Jordan recently introduced a new walker, Sara, who is diligent and trustworthy. My apartment and its contents are always just the way I left them. When I ask my door staff about the duration of the walk, if Dexter had his sweater and harness on, and what time the walker showed up, the answers are always positive. I leave an extra key with the desk, and place Sara and Jordan's names on the access list.
In addition to Monday through Friday noontime walks, there is a weekday night where they come to walk and feed Dex as well, and that has worked out well. From the onset, I insisted that Dex be walked solo and Jordan has always honored that request. I've used Petaholics since August 2003." |

"Before we discovered Petaholics, my husband and I were beyond stressed. Why? The first problem was that our Min Pin, Gibbon became the great escape artist and I would come home and find him in a room he was not allowed to be in. After two pairs of glasses, three trips to the dry cleaners, and a whole box of Christmas ribbon, we started to look for a dog walker so that we could leave him in his crate. We asked around and looked at different web sites, made a few phone calls for comparison. To our dismay, almost every single service we called requested a minimum number of times a week at consistent times. This leads us to our second problem, although I work regular hours, my husband, a police officer, definitely did not. So he was switching from night to day shifts and then would switch back to night shifts. Even now, his schedule is still in flux, so we could not commit to regular times and days because we didn't know what our schedule would be from week to week.
